Maureen Simons

Maureen Simons (self) published her first book All About Bananas at age six. She wrote notebooks full of (terrible) poetry in high school and even more (overly earnest) fiction in college. During a long detour in high tech, she attended a dozen writing classes at Stanford University. Her short stories have appeared in PANK, a literary magazine founded by Roxanne Gay, the Palo Alto Weekly Short Story Contest, and Sea Ranch Soundings. She has been accepted to several juried writers’ conferences, including Lit Camp and the Yale Writer’s Workshop. She is working on a nonfiction book about the redemptive power of love and caramel sticky buns.
