Matthew Félix is an author and host of the Matthew Félix On Air video podcast. Matthew’s debut novel A Voice Beyond Reason is the story of a young Spaniard's awakening to his intuition. The 2019 BookLife Prize called A Voice Beyond Reason “(a) highly crafted gem.” Matthew’s With Open Arms: Short Stories of Misadventures in Morocco has topped the Amazon Africa category.

His latest book Porcelain Travels recounts his experiences in, on, and around toilets, tubs, and showers encountered on his travels. Publishers Weekly called Porcelain Travels “an offbeat … funny collection.” Porcelain Travels was a Foreword INDIES Book of the Year Award finalist and is an Amazon Literary Travel and Travel Humor bestseller. In March, Matthew performed a one-man show based on Porcelain Travels as part of San Francisco’s Marsh theater’s Monday Night Marsh series.

The 2018 and 2019 Solas Awards recognized Matthew’s short stories a total of twelve times, including four Gold honors and the $750 Silver Grand Prize for Best Travel Story of the Year. When not working or on the road, Matthew is likely to be found exploring the streets of San Francisco or hiking the trails of Northern California.
