Alyss Dixson

Alyss Dixson received a BA in Comparative Literature from Yale. She attended Columbia University School of the Arts, MFA in Film, and ran a production company as a producer-executive, then later worked at a studio as VP of production. Now a writer-producer, she also consults for film and television, and was featured in the Mollie Gregory book Women Who Run the Show (St. Martin’s Press, 2000). She won the Joseph Henry Jackson award, and fellowships from Cave Canem Foundation and Callaloo Workshop, and is hard at work on a novel, A Place Called Paradise, and a collection of poems, Fukuoka Woman.
