Michelle Jeffers
Michelle Jeffers is the chief of Community Programs and Partnerships for the San Francisco Public Library, serving on the Library system’s 9-member Management Team. In this role, she manages a 30-member staff that plans the Library’s wide array of public programming and classes for all ages; curates and creates art exhibitions held in the Main Library’s two art galleries and smaller exhibitions throughout the neighborhood library branches; and engages in partnerships with cultural, educational, civic and private institutions. She also serves as the Library’s communications chief and spearheads outreach and marketing activities. She previously worked in publishing for McGraw-Hill and Dow Jones & Company. A former journalist, she has served as a staff writer, bureau chief, reporter and editor for numerous magazines, newspapers and radio stations.
