Award-winning translator Niloufar Talebi discusses her new hybrid memoir Self-Portrait in Bloom, which delves deep into Iranian literary history, personal biography, and portrait of poet Ahmad Shamlou. Told in fragments of prose, poetry, and photographs, this lyrical exploration pays homage to Tehran, the city of Talebi's childhood, and was released this year in the 40th anniversary of the Iranian revolution.
