We've Been Too Patient: Voices from Radical Mental Health

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

We’ve Been Too Patient is more than a book: it is a movement, a reclamation of power. Overmedication, police brutality, electroconvulsive therapy, involuntary hospitalization, traumas that lead to intense altered states and suicidal thoughts: these are the struggles of those labeled "mentally ill." We’ve Been Too Patient gives voice to those with personal experience of psychiatric miscare, and foregrounds those often excluded from the discussion, like people of color and LGBTQ+ communities. With contributors LD Green, Kelechi Ubozoh, Jeneé Darden, Ramon(a) Rio, Sascha Altman DuBrul, and Anita Roman. Moderated by Casey Gardner. FREE, $5 suggested donation
